Arts and crafts have always been a part of my life, especially when I was younger. But somewhere along the way, I drifted away from them and haven’t done much lately. Recently, though, I started noticing scrapbooking videos popping up all over TikTok and it reminded me just how much I enjoyed this creative outlet.
Scrapbooking feels like a wonderful way to preserve memories, but these days it’s also about the process, the soothing rhythm of cutting, sticking, and designing pages with your own personal touch. The best part? You don’t need to be an expert to get started.
You can find scrapbooking kits everywhere now, from Amazon to craft stores. They come with everything you need: beautifully themed papers and stickers... vintage florals, retro styles, bright colors, you name it, plus glue, scissors, and a notepad or album to create your layouts. Of course, you can also cut out pictures and designs from magazines or print your own photos.

I picked up a kit recently, and I have to say, it’s been surprisingly relaxing and even a little therapeutic. It’s a nice way to unwind, focus on something creative, and just have fun without any pressure. Whether you want to document memories, create art, or just pass the time in a mindful way, scrapbooking is a great hobby to try.
If you’re curious, I say give it a shot! Grab a kit or gather some supplies, and just let your imagination take the lead. You might be surprised at what you create and how much you enjoy the process.
Remember, creativity isn’t about perfection, it’s about expression, joy, and the little moments you capture along the way. So take that first step, let your imagination soar, and watch how something beautiful unfolds from simple pieces of paper and your own unique story. Your scrapbook isn’t just a hobby, it’s a celebration of you.
I don't know if I'd have the patience for scrapbooking, but I think it's cool that so many do it. I can see how it would be therapeutic.
ReplyDeleteI am surprised that I never got into scrapbooking. As a teen, I had a bulletin board in my room and used it for the same concept. I'd tack all kinds of pictures, magazine clippings, tickets, etc. all over it. I'd assume that's kind of the same as scrapbooking?
ReplyDeleteI used to do scrapbooking years ago and it really was therapeutic for me. I wish I had the time to set aside to get back into it. I really enjoyed it
ReplyDeleteScrapbooking is something I have been meaning to take up myself again. I love to be creative and it can be great for preserving memories of activities.
ReplyDeleteThis was such a lovely read! Scrapbooking truly sounds like a peaceful hobby that helps capture memories while relaxing the mind 🙂. I'll try this soon for sure!

I totally agree with you -- scrapbooking is indeed therapeutic. I do this all the time if I want to clear my mind or unload stuff from my chest. It is also a great way to unleash creativity and do something beautiful.
