 I’ve been seeing lots of P.Louise Cosmetics on Tik Tok for a while now. I figured there was no way everything could be as good as people claimed.

Well, spoiler alert, it can. It is. And now I’m sat here wondering how many kidneys I need to sell to keep this habit going.

This was my first time trying the brand, and I went in with a carefully curated haul (by “carefully curated” I mean I blacked out on their website and came to with a confirmation email). Here’s everything I got, how it performed, and why I’m officially a P.Louise convert.

If you’ve ever looked in the mirror and thought, “Wow, my under-eyes look like I’ve been surviving on three hours of sleep and sheer willpower,” then you need this powder.

Petal is a soft, delicate tone that brightens without that ghostly, chalky look some powders can give. The texture? So fine, it’s basically fairy dust. I am dangerously into lip products. It’s the one category of makeup where I own far too many shades that “look totally different” but are, in reality, all vaguely nude. So naturally, the Kiss and Makeup Lip Kit had my name all over it.

Bitter Sweet is a dreamy pinky nude that’s flattering on literally any occasion. Mixed Feelings is a deeper, moodier tone that’s perfect for when I want to look like I have my life together (or at least like I own matching Pyjamas).

The formula is creamy without being greasy, long lasting without being Sahara dry. I wore Bitter Sweet to lunch, and even after an aggressive pasta situation, it still looked great. That’s commitment.

Listen, I used to be scared of liquid blush. I thought it would be patchy, hard to blend, and basically a one way ticket to Clown Town. Lolly Dolly proved me wrong.

This candy pink shade is cheerful without being childish, and it gives the kind of fresh faced flush you get from a brisk walk on a crisp morning (but without leaving the sofa). It blends so effortlessly you could apply it half asleep and still look good.

Nhow Hotel

 Sooooooo... it was my birthday a few weeks ago (cue confetti 🎉), and I decided to treat myself big time with a little luxury staycation at the oh-so-stylish Nhow Hotel in Islington. I’d been eyeing this place for ages, spotted it while it was still under construction and made a mental note: “Must stay here one day.” Well, that day finally came!

I went all in and booked a suite, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The space was massive! Think: separate chill zone with a sofa, a dreamy bed area, and all the essentials like tea, coffee, water, and even a fridge (snack stash = sorted). And yes, the king-size bed was next-level comfy. Like, “I might never leave” comfy.

Room service? 10/10. The food was chef’s kiss delicious, and the service was super on point. I may or may not have done a happy dance when the food arrived.

The bathroom? Oof, a whole spa vibe. Big ol’ shower, deep bath, and a sweet stash of fancy toiletries. But wait, get this... there was a peep hole in the bathroom door (mystery!) and curtains by the bath that you could pull open to peek into the room. Total Spice Girls energy. Zig-a-zig-ah! 😂

Oh, and the scent that hits you the moment you walk into the hotel? Absolutely divine. I wanted to bottle it up and take it home.

And YES. I topped it all off with a magical unicorn cake from Lola’s Cupcakes, complete with vanilla buttercream. Because what’s a birthday without something sweet and sparkly?

If you have pet dogs, maybe you could incorporate them into the proposal. I've also seen a few weddings where the dog runs down the aisle with the ring attached, it's the most adorable thing ever. Let's just hope the dog doesn't run off with the rings.

I would definitely go for a princess cut dress that flows to the floor, with a tiered vanilla cake. Actually, it would be amazing to have a different flavour for each tier, with lots of cream.
