First Time Trying P.Louise Cosmetics

I’ve been seeing lots of P.Louise Cosmetics on Tik Tok for a while now. I figured there was no way everything could be as good as people claimed.

Well, spoiler alert, it can. It is. And now I’m sat here wondering how many kidneys I need to sell to keep this habit going.

This was my first time trying the brand, and I went in with a carefully curated haul (by “carefully curated” I mean I blacked out on their website and came to with a confirmation email). Here’s everything I got, how it performed, and why I’m officially a P.Louise convert.

P.Louise Under-Eye Brightening Powder – Petal (£18.00)

If you’ve ever looked in the mirror and thought, “Wow, my under-eyes look like I’ve been surviving on three hours of sleep and sheer willpower,” then you need this powder.

Petal is a soft, delicate tone that brightens without that ghostly, chalky look some powders can give. The texture? So fine, it’s basically fairy dust. I tapped a little under my eyes after concealer, and it instantly lifted my whole face. I went from “sleep deprived raccoon” to “maybe she drinks green juice and journals every morning.”

It doesn’t crease, it doesn’t look heavy, and somehow it photographs beautifully, no weird flashback that makes you look like you’ve been attacked by baking flour. Basically, Petal is my new ride or die for faking 8 hours of sleep.

P.Louise Cheek Of It Liquid Highlighter – Showbiz Baby (£14.00)

I love a good highlighter, but I’m picky. I want glow, not glitter. I want radiance, not “accidental disco ball.” Showbiz Baby understood the assignment.

This liquid highlighter blends like butter, seriously, if butter had a glow, it would be this. It’s that perfect “lit from within” sheen that makes people tilt their heads and say, “Your skin looks amazing.” The kind of glow that implies you’ve been on a wellness retreat, not binge watching true crime documentaries until midnight.

The shade is universally flattering, a warm champagne with just the right amount of shimmer, and it works over makeup or on bare skin. I’ve worn it on my cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose, and even tapped it onto my eyelids for a subtle shimmer. It’s versatile, easy, and dangerously addictive.

P.Louise Bronze N Glow Bundle – Almost Almond (£15.00)

I’m naturally quite pale, so bronzers can go wrong for me fast. Too orange, and I look like an Oompa Loompa. Too cool, and I look like I’ve been rolling in ash. Almost Almond hits that rare sweet spot, warm enough to add life, but neutral enough to look like a real tan.

The bundle comes with a glow product that pairs beautifully with the bronzer, making my skin look softly sculpted but still radiant. Think “I’ve just returned from a week in the Mediterranean” rather than “I went overboard with the contour stick.”

I’ve been using this on no makeup days just to give myself a bit of colour, and it blends so easily I don’t have to worry about patchiness. The fact it’s a bundle is just a bonus, it’s like getting a holiday glow without the sunburn.

P.Louise Kiss and Makeup Lip Kit – Bitter Sweet & Mixed Feelings (£16.00)

I am dangerously into lip products. It’s the one category of makeup where I own far too many shades that “look totally different” but are, in reality, all vaguely nude. So naturally, the Kiss and Makeup Lip Kit had my name all over it.

Bitter Sweet is a dreamy pinky nude that’s flattering on literally any occasion. Mixed Feelings is a deeper, moodier tone that’s perfect for when I want to look like I have my life together (or at least like I own matching Pyjamas).

The formula is creamy without being greasy, long lasting without being Sahara dry. I wore Bitter Sweet to lunch, and even after an aggressive pasta situation, it still looked great. That’s commitment.

P.Louise The Cheek Of It Liquid Blush – Lolly Dolly (£15.00)

Listen, I used to be scared of liquid blush. I thought it would be patchy, hard to blend, and basically a one way ticket to Clown Town. Lolly Dolly proved me wrong.

This candy pink shade is cheerful without being childish, and it gives the kind of fresh faced flush you get from a brisk walk on a crisp morning (but without leaving the sofa). It blends so effortlessly you could apply it half asleep and still look good.

The formula is buildable, so you can go for a soft tint or full on “blush bombshell” vibes. Either way, it instantly makes me look healthier and happier, and in this economy, that’s priceless.

As if I wasn’t already head over heels, P.Louise decided to slip in a freebie, their Cookies & Cream Lip Oil.

First of all , it smells like dessert. Not that faint, artificial kind of sweet, but the real kind that makes you want to lick your own lips. It feels silky, not sticky, and leaves the perfect glossy sheen. My lips feel soft, hydrated, and frankly a little too kissable for a Tuesday.

It was a clever move, because now I’m already eyeing the rest of their lip oil flavours. This is how they get you.

One thing I noticed while using these products is how much fun they make makeup again. Between the playful shade names, the luxurious packaging, and the genuinely impressive formulas, I found myself actually excited to sit down and do my makeup.

There’s a certain confidence boost that comes from knowing your products will perform, no weird patchiness, no “it looked good in the bathroom but terrible in daylight” disasters. Every single one of these items delivered exactly what it promised, if not more.

Going into this, I thought I might find one or two favourites and be done. Instead, I found myself mentally rearranging my makeup bag to make room for all my new P.Louise treasures.

The Under Eye Brightening Powder is now a non negotiable in my routine. Showbiz Baby has ruined me for all other highlighters. Almost Almond makes me look bronzed without the fake tan drama. Bitter Sweet and Mixed Feelings have taken over my lipstick rotation. Lolly Dolly makes me look alive on days when I’m not. And the Cookies & Cream Lip Oil? Well, I’m pretty sure I’m going to be collecting the whole set.

If this was my first time trying P.Louise, I can only imagine the damage I’ll do when I go in for round two. Consider me a loyal customer and consider my bank account officially nervous.

P.Louise, you win.
